Chartier New Circuit Champ

Canadian Samuel Chartier took down the World Series of Poker Circuit Atlantic City Main Event over the weekend claiming a top prize worth $322,944 and a highly sought after gold WSOP circuit ring.

Chartier bested a field of 208 players to win the $5,150 buy-in tournament, a field that included Roy Winston, Ylon Schwartz, Dennis Phillips, Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy and Alex Bolotin.

For his part, Bolotin made it all the way to the final table of the event and even entered it as the chip leader, but unfortunately was unable to make it past fifth place overall. Bolotin was eventually knocked out by third place finisher Francis (Frank) Vizza.

The final table finish positions for the 2009 WSOP-C Caesars Atlantic City Championship were as follows:

1st. Samuel Chartier - $322,944

2nd. John Nixon - $177,619

3rd. Francis Vizza - $90,828

4th. Michael Michnik - $70,644

5th. Alex Bolotin - $60,552

6th. Matt Brady - $50,460

7th. Jason Young - $40,368

8th. Chris Klodnicki - $30,276

9th. David Zeitlin - $20,184
