PokerStars Opens New Poker Room In Macau
March 20, 2022

Yesterday (3/19) marked the grand opening of Macau's newest poker room, the "PokerStars Macau at the Grand Lisboa."

This new 24-hour room, located on the second floor of the Grand Lisboa Casino, features 22 dedicated poker tables including a "Learn-to-Play" table that helps new Asian players learn all the intricacies of this suddenly popular game.

"PokerStars is committed to the development of poker across Asia, and this new room will be its heart," said Joe Hachem, Poker World Champion and member of Team PokerStars. "It has been extraordinary for me to watch the growth of poker culture in the eighteen months since the Asia Pacific Poker Tour first brought poker to Macau, and I'm so excited about playing in my third APPT there in August."

To celebrate the opening of the "PokerStars Macau at the Grand Lisboa," now the largest poker room in continental Asia, the Grand Lisboa is currently running the Macau Poker Cup - a weekend worth of tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $220 all the way up to a $10,000 buy-in main event with a $500,000 guarantee.
