On July 1st, legendary gambler and poker superstar Phil Ivey will be hosting a very important poker tournament, and he’s openly inviting YOU to play in it. This $1,000 donation, No-Limit Hold’em Tournament (with optional $500 “re-donations”) will be held at the Golden Nugget Casino’s brand new stunning attraction, The Tank, and will be just one part of multiple festivities planned to help raise money for the non-profit, Budding Ivey Foundation.
The Budding Ivey Foundation was founded by Phil Ivey and his mother Pamela Simmons Ivey to continue the noble efforts of Ivey’s late Grandfather, Leonard “Bud” Simmons. Simmons, a true Statesman, was dedicated to helping his fellow citizens by showing them the ways to help themselves.
This personal philosophy served to inspire The Budding Ivey Foundation’s mission, which is “dedicated to providing educational opportunities to empower at-risk children and their families that will ultimately inspire them to believe, achieve and succeed.”
Players attending this very special charity poker tournament are also encouraged to take part in the rest of the night’s activities which include “The Budding Ivey Game Night Celebration” and the Sixth Annual “World Series of Barbecue,” the legendary and very exclusive festival hosted annually by Howard Lederer and Steve Zolotow.
The Budding Ivey Charity Poker Tournament will be emceed by Television’s Matt Savage and is being held in conjunction with “The Grand” poker series at the world famous Golden Nugget Casino.
